Adding a Repair

Adding a repair can prevent broken assets from being checked out and can help keep an audit trail of a device status in your environment.

There are a couple of ways to add a repair in Assetbots, but for now, let's focus on adding a repair through the Repairs tab in your Assets page. To do this, go to “Assets > Repairs” and select the “ADD REPAIR” button at the right of the page.

From here you can filter, scan, or select your asset to add a repair record for it. Let’s select an asset and click NEXT.

In the Repair Details section, you can add a description for your repair, define a status for the repair, choosing between Completed, In Repair, and Needs Repair, and save the repair by clicking the SAVE REPAIR.

Note: You can optionally assign the repair to a person in your database, set a due date, and add any additional notes regarding the repair.

While an asset is under repair, it is unavailable for checkout, but you can still repair checked-out assets. When your repair is finished, you can select your repairs from the Repairs tab and select the “COMPLETE REPAIR” button. You can add any additional notes at this point as well.

You can view completed repairs by clicking the dropdown arrow next to the filter bar and selecting the "✅ Completed” filter.
