Summary:

The Depreciation Report summary provides a high-level view of your asset depreciation based on the timeframe selected, including:

  • Total Assets: The total number of assets included in the report.
  • Opening Book Value: The combined opening book value of all assets.
  • Depreciation Amount: The total depreciation amount calculated for all assets.
  • Closing Book Value: The combined closing book value of all assets.

Filtering Options:

  • Filter by Assets: Focus on specific assets to analyze their depreciation including labels, categories, and statuses (e.g. checked out, available for checkout)
  • Filter by Date: Select a date range to view depreciation data within a specific timeframe.

Detailed Information:

  • Period: Identify the period (month, quarter, year) for which the depreciation data is calculated.
  • Asset: View information about the specific asset, including its name and asset tag.
  • Opening: The asset's opening book value at the beginning of the period shown.
  • Depreciation: The calculated depreciation amount for the asset for the period shown. 
  • Closing: The asset's closing book value at the end of the period shown.
  • Percent: The percentage of depreciation applied to the asset during the period shown.
  • Accumulated: The total accumulated depreciation amount for the asset since its acquisition.
