Printing Labels on Assetbots
Assetbots allows you to easily create and print professional-looking labels for your assets, improving organization and identification. Here's a comprehensive guide on printing labels within Assetbots:
Accessing the Label Printing Feature:
- Navigate to Reports: Locate the "Reports" section on the left side of your Assetbots homepage.
- Select Labels: Within the Reports section, click on the option labeled "Labels." This will open the label printing interface.
Setting Up Your Labels:
- Template Selection: Locate the "Setup" section. Within this section, you'll find a dropdown menu labeled "Template." Click on this dropdown to reveal a variety of label templates.

*FOR CUSTOMERS WITH BROTHER PRINTERS
While Assetbots doesn’t have Brother P-Touch tape templates, you can export your assets to CSV (requires CSV to function appropriately) and create a label template using this export.
First download Brother P-touch Editor here: https://brotherptoucheditor.com/brother-p-touch-editor-download/
When opening the app, you’ll be met with a template selection screen where we’ll select a New template.
First, connect your Printer by clicking on “Select Printer” at the left of the page and clicking on your printer.
From there you can select “Check Media” which will detect your label size or you can manually select your label size, in our case 9mm.
Note: You can change the unit of measurement from millimeter to inches (and vice versa) by clicking on the View button at the top-left and selecting “Unit To Millimeter/Inch”
Click the Database button at the top right, click Browse, and select the CSV export file of your assets.
From here, select Text Box at the top of the page, and under the Text tab to the right, click the drop-down for Database Field and select the field(s) you would like to use from your import (I’ll be using Tag and Description).
After selecting the field, you can drag the corners of the textbox to change its size within the template, change its font size and type, etc. You would repeat this step for any additional fields you’d add.
When you’ve configured the label to your liking, you can click Print at the top left. If you'd like to print out the whole strip, go into Properties and in Options uncheck “Cut Every”, otherwise, you can leave the settings as is.
Make sure the Copies setting is 1, and for the Print Range, you can select “All Records” to print every asset or select a Record Range from your import to print.
