How To: Delete Archived Assets
Archiving assets is a way to remove them from view without deleting them. They remain permanently accessible using the Archived filter and can be un-archived at any time.
You may decide to delete some of your archived assets for various reasons: your required data retention period has elapsed, you are coming close to your plan limit and are not ready to upgrade, or you just want to clean up some data.
Unlike archived assets, deleted assets are only retained for 30 days, after which they are removed permanently by the system. Also, unlike archived assets, deleted assets do not count toward your plan limit.
To delete your archived assets, follow these steps:
- Visit the asset list and reveal your archived assets by selecting the Archived filter, or by entering archived:true into the Filter assets search input.
- Select the assets you would like to delete.
- Select Delete from the Delete or archive dropdown in the toolbar.
It is important to note that if you delete assets while they are archived, they will not show up under the Archived filter or the Deleted filter. That is because they are both archived AND deleted!
To reveal assets that are both archived and deleted, you can enter the following into the Filter assets search input:
archived:true deleted:true
